Come visit the Clear Lake Historical Society at  at 800 1st Ave. S. in Clear Lake.  We hope that you can catch the wave of Clear Lake’s history!

Join us at our Annual Meeting on Saturday, August 19th at 2:00 pm at our museum at 800 1st Ave. S. for an update on our location, plans for the future, some programming, refreshments and of course some time to enjoy the museum.  We would love to see you and share some memories of Clear Lake with you.  We hope to see you on the 19th of August.  Don’t forget our summer hours last through September 30th.

From the Sioux and Winnebago Indians and pioneer settlers to the famous speakers on the Chautauqua national circuit, Clear Lake, Iowa has a colorful history.  Knowledge of the past encourages responsible citizenship, a deeper understanding of current events and an inspiration for creating the next chapters of history.

The Clear Lake Historical Society mission is to collect, preserve, protect and provide information from early area history to the present, on the natural and human environment of our corner of the universe.
